Servings 2 Crumpets

Ingredients

  • 2 Crumpets
  • 4 tablespoon Single Cream I use an oat-based one
  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Caster Sugar
  • 4 tablespoon Chopped Pecans
  • 2 tablespoon Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

Instructions

  • In a large frying pan, add your butter and place on a medium to high heat.
  • In a large bowl, add your cream, sugar, maple syrup + cinnamon and combine it together with a spoon until all incorporated.
  • Place one crumpet into the French toast mixture and leave it for around 1 minute. Then, flip it over and leave it to soak for another minute. Repeat this process with the other crumpet.
  • Once the butter in the frying pan is all melted, place the soaked crumpets into the frying pan for approximately 2 minutes on each side. This will make the crumpets golden brown and nice and crispy on the outside.
  • Place each crumpet onto a plate. Then add the following onto each crumpet: 2 tablespoon chopped pecans, a tablespoon of vanilla bean ice cream, extra single cream, extra maple syrup and finally, a dusting cinnamon powder. Then, devour!! Enjoy whilst they are still warm.
