These Strawberry Rolls are the perfect sweet, strawberry treat. I love strawberries and I love cinnamon rolls. So I thought... I should definitely combine two of my favourite things to form these delicious strawberry rolls. It turned out so so good!

The rolls follow my classic rolls recipe. They take only one hour to make but are still perfectly soft and fluffy. If you have tried my cinnamon apple rolls, nutella rolls or gingerbread rolls, you will already have an idea on how these will taste as the dough is identical. However, the big difference here is the beautiful addition of sweet, fruity strawberries.
To make this even better, the rolls have a strawberry cream cheese frosting. This sweet-savoury combo is in my eyes, the perfect combination for a sweet roll. If you don't want to use cream cheese and would rather a more sweet frosting, follow my frosting recipe on my cinnamon apples recipe!
These are the perfect roll for valentines day as they are wonderfully red/ pink and they will impress whoever you make them for! Or, if you are hosting galentines or even just having a dreamy evening alone, these are the perfect sweet treat.
The following equipment will make your life easier: a rolling pin, a food mixer with a dough hook, a large baking tray and a large surface for you to roll the rolls out. You will definitely need a rolling pin for this recipe to roll the dough out into a rectangular shape before adding the apples and cinnamon sugar. Further, it is really useful to have a standing mixer with a dough hook. I use this to ensure the dough comes together beautifully. If you don't have this, you could need with your hands, it will just take longer and be messier!
I hope you enjoy these rolls as much as I do. Let me know how you get on in the comments section below or on Instagram.

Strawberry Rolls
Ingredients
- 700 g Flour plain, white, all-purpose
- 14 g Yeast quick, dry, fast
- 110 g Sugar white, granulated
- 480 g Soy milk
- 115 g Butter melted + extra to grease your baking tray
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 8 tablespoon Strawberry jam
- 3 tablespoon Sugar white, granulated
- 150 g Fresh strawberries
For the strawberry cream cheese frosting
- 2 tablespoon Strawberry jam
- 200 g Cream cheese
- 2 tablespoon Icing sugar or more if you want your frosting thicker/ sweeter
Instructions
- Warm your milk up until it is luke warm (either in the stove or in the microwave). Once your milk is the right temperature, pour it into a large bowl. Add the sugar and the yeast. Combine together with a whisk very briefly, for 1-2 seconds. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- After the five minutes, add the melted butter, 600g / 5 cups flour and salt to the yeast bowl. Spoon it together (it will be quite wet and will look lumpy at this stage). Then, add your dough to a standing mixer with a dough mixer attached. Place it on a slow speed and allow the dough to come together in the mixer. Add the rest of the flour (100g / 1 cup) as it mixes. A dough ball should form and the dough should pull away from the sides of the mixer. When it does, you can stop the mixer. Add slightly more flour if needed. Once ready, cover your bowl with a towel and let it rise for 30 minutes. Ideally let the dough rise in a warm area.
- Pre-heat your oven to 180°C/ 356°F.
- Chop your strawberries into little chunks and get your strawberry jam ready.
- After the 30 minutes is up, flour a clean surface generously. Put the dough onto the surface then scatter some more flour on top. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough out into a large rectangular shape which is around 1-2cm thick.
- Onto your rolled dough, add the strawberry jam and spread it out using a mini spatula/ palette knife. Once the jam is evenly distributed, scatter the 3 tablespoon sugar and chopped strawberries on top, evenly. Then, roll your strawberry rolls up so that you form a long huge roll.
- Cut the rolled dough into 10 even portions. I cut the ends off and don't use these as they aren't very pretty! If you use the ends, you should have about 12 individual rolls. This may be a little bit messy. Using cheese wire to cut the rolls makes this stage easier. If you don't have that, use a very sharp knife and do it carefully! Add them to a greased baking tray. Bake for 20 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, strawberry jam and sugar. This will create your strawberry cream cheese frosting!
- When the Strawberry rolls are out of the oven, leave them to cool for around 15 minutes and then add the frosting on top of each roll evenly. Then, devour! I hope you love these as much as I do. Let me know how you get on. G x
