This chocolate and Oreo tart is a perfect dessert. If you are a chocolate fan, you are going to love this... It is decadent, rich and SUPER chocolatey.
The tart bottom is made with biscuits, making this tart more similar to a cheesecake. I actually prefer this to a pastry bottom, and I hope you do too! The cheesecake base is crumbly, buttery and sweet whilst the top layer is a silky smooth chocolate ganache (similar to my ganache recipe!). The two together is a match made in heaven.
To make this chocolate and Oreo tart recipe even better, it is SO easy to make. The whole recipe has only FOUR ingredients: Oreos, butter, coconut milk and chocolate. You may already have these ingredients in your cupboards, meaning that you should go and make this immediately. The whole recipe can be prepped in under 30 minutes making it a great choice if you want a quick, but still delicious, dessert. This is a perfect choice if you're looking for a dessert for an event (e.g. a dinner party) but want a minimal effort recipe.
If you have made my chocolate ganache recipe before, you will have a good understanding of what this tart will taste like. The ganache is creamy, rich and smooth. It is super decadent so if you aren't a fan of choc, this probably isn't the one for you. I use dark chocolate, but you could make this lighter with milk/white chocolate.
I hope you love this recipe as much as I do. It really is easy, but packs a punch, trust me! Please let me know how you get on in the comments below.

Chocolate and Oreo Tart
Ingredients
- 300 g Oreo biscuits
- 25 g Butter
- 400 ml Coconut milk
- 360 g Chocolate I used a semi-sweet one
Instructions
- Crush the biscuits into a fine crumb. I actually use a food processor to do this as it’s way easier/ quicker. Melt the butter. Combine the butter and the biscuit crumb in a bowl. Press the crumb mix into a tart tin- I used an 8-inch one with a removable bottom.
- Place the coconut milk into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Chop the chocolate up into small chunks (I also use the food processor for this!) and place into a large bowl. Pour the hot milk onto the chocolate and leave for 3 minutes. After the 2 minutes, whisk the chocolate and milk together to form a silky ganache.
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the biscuit base in the tart tin. Place into the fridge for a few hours (or overnight) and then decorate with whatever you wish!
